Dan Berglund

Biography
Dan Berglund was born in the Swedish countryside in 1981, and as a boy dreamed of becoming a tattoo artist. It didn't quite work out that way, but he did get a job at the age of seventeen as an illustrator on a local newspaper, which showed him he could make a career out of drawing. After a move to Stockholm and graduation from Beckmans College he set up full-time as a freelance illustrator.Dan's work often begins with a story or just a line of text, and can end up as simple and precise figures, symbols or letters - or sometimes whole illustrated worlds. He works not just in print, but also in animation and interactive media, which to him are all branches of the same expression; which results in a playful mix of the analogue and the digital.
